Mugen Honda Freed

As Honda Freed just recently launch in Malaysia. Mugen as a tuner  for nearly all Honda cars has actually tuned the Honda Freed with some visual-cosmetic upgrade and some of the performance accessories.

By equipping the full bodykit to the Honda Freed, with some Mugen badge all around – certainly the Honda Freed looks more sporty than standard.

The Mugen Freed is can be equipped with dual exhaust as an optional setup for the rear skirt. Something i didn’t expect from Mugen is that the one of the tailpipe  is actually a cosmetic one which is not connected to the exhaust system rather something just to look more sporty.

The Mugen Freed spoiler and sideskirt. Much like the Mugen Jazz.

The front grille which is similar from the one in Mugen Honda Odyssey and front skirt with air vents.

Two options of rim from Mugen to the Honda Freed. I personally prefer the darker one on the left.

To make the Honda Freed more sporty looking and better handling, new suspension set can be inserted to the Honda Freed to have a lower ride and reduce the gap between the wheel and the wheel arch. The sporty pedal can be also changed.

Mugen Honda Freed certainly is sportier but it is still a family car.  Mugen does provide more performance accessory such as the air filter, the higher performance brake system. However, in my opinion it is waste to put in the Honda Freed even if we are getting Japanese price without tax. With our famous after market bodykits from Taiwan and Thailand, i’m sure our fellow Malaysian are able to “sportified”  their Freed with a cost within RM2000. Do check out the other parts Mugen offer for Honda Freed below.
