Bugatti team took the limited edition Bugatti Veyron Super Sport to VW Group’s High Speed Oval test track in Germany.  With the presents of representative from Guinness Book of Records, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport sets a new world record of a fastest production car ever made. The car is expected to make 425km/h  but however with some weather luck on Bugatti’s side, the car was able to do an average of 431.07 hm/h. This was calculated as average in such of 427.993 km/h from South to North and a top speed of 434,211 km/h from the opposite direction.

However the production unit will be limited to 415km/h from the ECU to protects the Veyron Super Sport’s tyre. A normal version of the Veyron does a top speed of 407km/h. The engineers of Bugatti gave a bigger turbo charge and of course a even bigger intercooler to boost it’s performance. Along with that, an increase from 1,250 Nm of  torque to 1500Nm. Bugatti did not claim Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 0-100km/h time but however, our guess is the Veyron Super Sport will be slight faster than the standard 2.2 seconds.

The Bugatti Veyron has also modified the air intakes and rear bumper with double diffuser and a centred exhaust to become the Super Sport edition. Like the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV the Bugatti Veyron’s interior is also revised to match it’s striking exterior colour and design. End of the day, how much will this cost as compare to a standard Veyron which is about 1.7 Million USD ? More details of this Sport version of an Hypercar – Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in mid August as it will make appearance in California.

Topless with limited edition of Bugatti Veyron Grand Sports

The open-topped Bugatti Veyron Grand Sports costs €1.4 million and deliveries of the first 30 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sports start in July, with 40 to be built a year until the 150 limit.

Bugatti’s Grand Sport has started production at the French factory. The topless car gets a redesigned, stiffer carbon fibre monocoque, with reinforced side skirts and a carbon fibre plate bolted beneath the transmission tunnel to deliver equivalent strength to the roofed car.

Partly because there isn’t a folding roof structure to carry and overall the Grand Sport weights just 53kg more.

The see-through polycarbonate roof panel lifts off and is left at home for topless motoring.

Protection from the elements is instead supplied by what can only be called an umbrella – stored in the boot when not in use and erected to protect passengers from inclement weather at speeds of up to 160km/h.

But for a truly hair-raising drive you’ll leave it off – the open-topped car will allegedly reach 360km/h.

That umbrella should alert you that nothing about this car is normal, not even its rollover protection. Forget pop-up hoops, the air intakes for the 16-cylinder engine double as occupant protection.
