The STI-Tuned Subaru Legacy 2.5GT tS models come with various cosmetic and performance enhancements, but no upgrades to the 2.5-litre flat-four turbo engine by keeping its stock output with 265 horsepower and 350Nm of torque.

The tS (“tuned by STI”) get a new front lip spoiler on both models, along with a boot lid for the B4 sedan and a roof spoiler for the Touring Wagon.

The list of performance parts upgrades includes a set of Bilstein suspension, strut tow bars, sport exhaust system, and 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/45 R18 tyres. Inside, there’s a revised instrument panel, sport seats, carbon trim, a leather-wrapped STI steering wheel, STI shifter and STI floor mats.

In Japan, the sedan model starts from 4,029,900 Yen and the Touring Wagon from 4,187,400 Yen.

If you able to bring to mind on our previous post regarding the world premiere of the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 4 Door Sedan in New York Auto Show back in April. Now, Subaru Japan revealed the new models in Japan and confirmed to be set on sales begin June 2010.

There is no details release for those JDM-spec Impreza WRX STI Sedan but I speculate this car get the similar engine as the hatchback model which having the same 2.0 Litre Turbocharged Boxer Engine. Besides the WRX STI 4 Door Sedan, Subaru also introduce the Impreza XV Crossover in Japan which revealed during Geneva Motor Show back in March. Overall in my opinion, the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan has improved its manifestation much better than pre-facelift model.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI V10 Cosworth Edition. In Matte Black.  Cosworth is a high performance engineering company founded in London in 1958, specialising in engines and electronics for automobile racing (motorsport), mainstream automotive and defence industries. Part of their business is tune cars and sell them.

Cosworth took the latest Subaru Impreza WRX STI and tune it to become what Cosworth like to call - Cosworth Impreza STI CS400. The result, 0-100km/h sprint in about 3.7 seconds. That’s is faster than tons of supercar out there and cheaper too. Available in United Kingdom, the car will cost £49,995 (RM241,800). Sounds interesting yet? bear in mind there’s still lot’s of tax that we haven’t added on when IF it comes to our country.

The boxer engine is tuned to a roar-ing 395 horsepower and 398 of torque with new piston, con-rods, new turbocharger and custom exhaust as well as Cosworth ECU mapping. These are just a few of mentioned among many modifications. Further improving the handling, this Subaru Impreza WRX STI is equipped with lowered suspension by Bilstein and Eibach.

To identify it’s a Cosworth Impreza STI CS400, rather than a standard matte black WRX STI. The front bumper has been redesigned with mesh grille, a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloys rims for the bigger brakes. Not to forget a Cosworth badge the the rear.

There will only 75 limited units of Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 and only available in UK. If you are lucky, maybe Naza might import one? Colours to choose from other than matte black – red,silver and dark grey.

Some call it a re-born of WRX. Subaru has revived the car on which the rally-bred WRX legend has been built with a sedan version of its fastest model, the WRX STI.

Unveiled at the 2010 New York motor show, the new WRX STI sedan gets more aggressive styling, including a huge rear wing and boldly flared wheel arches that give the small pocket rocket more visual presence and a wider track, for better handling.

The new STI will be powered by a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine running all four wheels, expected to perform 0-100km/h in a little over five seconds.

Subaru says the WRX STI sedan will be in Australia beside the United States of America by the end of 2010 joining the revised Subaru WRX line-up that brings with it more aggressive styling as part of a model update.

The Managing Director of Subaru Australia – Nick Senior comments that, “We can confirm a four-door Impreza WRX STI will join our Australian line-up much later in the year and will be available from our exclusive STI retail network.”

Subaru released an initial details as well as a set of teaser photos of its highly anticipated collaboration with Cosworth. The special edition model is called the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 and it will go on sale in the Europe with 75 limited units.

Subaru revealed that Cosworth has fine-tuned the standard Impreza WRX STI’s 2.5-liter turbocharged flat four engine, boosting output to 400HP at 5,750 rpm.

The car performed 0 to 100km/h with just 3.7 seconds. Comparing to stock Subaru Impreza WRX STi which is 5.2 seconds.

Subaru reported that the Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 will feature a bespoke brake package with 6-pot callipers and 355mm discs at the front developed in partnership with AP Racing, an upgraded suspension and a new sport exhaust system. For interior and exterior styling for this limited run, Subaru didn’t reveal more of the details.

Since the introduction of the third-generation Impreza, there are many talking point between fast cars lovers. In countries like USA and Australia which selling WRX like hot cakes, Subaru makes Impreza WRX sedan available besides the 5-door hatchback.

Personally, I prefer the 5-door hatchback model over the sedan model after my long period of digestion. Partially could be due to Ken Block’s influential.

Now, the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX adopted the STI’s widebody design for 2011 model to enhanced handling performance. With a 1.5 inch-wider track front and rear, the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX’s are more aggressive, and with firmer rear subframe bushings pulled from the STI and wider 17×8-inch wheels wrapped in 235/45R17 low profile tyres, the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX is assuredly stickier than its predecessor.

Besides the widebody fenders, the front bumper receives a restylized front lip with a larger front grille and intakes. The whole package only increases the curb weight of the WRX by 34 pounds, and coupled with the 265hp turbocharged 2.5-liter flat-4 Boxer engine teamed with a 5-speed manual transmission. This highly responsive engine produces 244 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,000 rpm.

The car that has been dubbed the ‘Toyobaru’ has been revealed for the first time. Toyota’s new FT-86 concept will appear at this month’s Tokyo motor show as the first half of a joint-venture rear-wheel-drive sports car with Subaru.

The affordable compact coupe will go on sale in late 2011 with a Toyota badge, followed by the Subaru version that should get its own styling. Toyota has designed the FT-86 that is both short (4160mm) and low (1260mm) and borrows styling cues from the company’s FT-HS concept. Blacked-out A-pillars create a sporty wrap-around windscreen.

Toyota says the FT-86 is a five-seater and which based on a shortened version of the Impreza small car platform also modified from all-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive. Subaru’s 2.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-four ‘boxer’ engine will add to the coupe’s low centre of gravity that will aid handling. It will be mated to a six-speed manual.

From the photos, the mostly grey interior looks more concept than production car, though. A strong hexagonal theme dominates the FT-86’s dash, notably the air vents and rear-view mirror.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a flat bottom for a sporty touch, while there’s the now mandatory engine start/stop button.

The FT-86 will be a much-needed model for Toyota, a brand that has been searching for an image boost after discontinuing its most exciting products in recent years – the Supra, MR2 and Celica.

In 2008, Toyota to double its stake from 8.7 to 16.5 per cent in Subaru’s parent company Fuji Heavy Industries when the sports car collaboration was first announced. There was speculation the project was delayed by the financial crisis, though the joint development should significantly reduce production costs for both parties.

Rob Dyrdeks known for it’s show – Fantasy Factory on MTV has joined Ken Block in some drifting action in Gymkhana. After Ken Block doing a sucess video as Gymkhana 2 – Refer to the video we posted earlier. , Rob built a custom Go-Kart based mini Subaru Impreza V10 which is almost identical to Ken Block’s new Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti V10 ( other than the open sun roof for the head). Subaru is officially introducing the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C for the current model. The car hits the market on the July 23, 2009 and makes several improvements on top of the standard STI. The production of the Spec C limited to 900 units only.

The Spec C has lightened the body and weight by fitting with lighter body panel, smaller battery, laminar glass on front and side windows. Besides, the 18″ lightweight alloy wheels (or optional 17″) with seven double spokes are wrapped with Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tyres like the FD2 Civic Type R to improve cornering and grips. Instead of a spare tyre in the trunk, a flat tyre repair kit is placed as part of weight reduction. A recalibrated power steering system to have a nimble handling with a firm steering feel too.

The guys on this project had reprogrammed the ECU and fitted with a redesigned turbocharger that uses new ball and axle bearings to boost the torque output to 422Nm while maintaining 304hp. Technically, the Rear LSD system are changed to a mechanical type from a Torsen type to obtain the steady and powerful traction to improve cornering. The retuned suspension changes in damping force of suspensions, coil spring rate, rear stabilizer and rear sub-frame bushes optimize rigidity for body roll and retain excellent road-holding capability. Besides those, a structural change of fuel pump as well which helps to provides stable fuel delivery even on high-load driving.

All WRX STI Spec models comes standard with gold Brembo brake calipers. The car come standard with front bucket seats that made by fabric with red stitch. However, a pair of Recaro brand bucket seats that made by combination of Alcantara and leather with red stitch are optional.

For the exterior, two exclusive exterior colors are available: Sunrise Yellow and Pure White. Of course, the standard Mica Blue is still available with Spec C. The pricing has not been officially released till date.
