Automobili Lamborghini held a special preview of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster at Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur showroom in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. The LP700-4 Roadster is the most exciting series production Lamborghini ever built and the new benchmark in the world of open-top luxury super sports cars. It is even faster and more powerful than the Pagani Roadster.

The Lamborghini Aventador coupe introduced in 2011 and delivered more than 1,300 units globally till date. This year, Lamborghini is now offering the convertible version of the Aventador known as Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster. The starting price of this supercar will be set at RM3 million and the delivery lead time is up to 18 months.

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster can immediately be recognized by the unique profile of its upper area, which extends along newly designed geometric lines from the removable two-piece roof to the engine hood on the front.

The new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster boasts record performance. The V12 6.5-litre natural aspirated engine on the LP700-4 Roadster output 700hp and mated with an ISR 7-speed transmission. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h within 3 seconds and a maximum speed up to 350 km/h. The engine and drive train are centrally located to optimise the balance for handling. In addition, the Aventador Roadster also uses the push-rod suspension like the Aventador Coupe.

Part of the effort to improve fuel efficiency, the V12 powerplant includes a cylinder deactivation system when the engine is working at partial capacity and Stop & Start system.

According to Lamborgini, the two-piece roof is made entirely from carbon fibre using various technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite. These technologies guarantee maximum aesthetic performance and stiffness although each component is weighing less than 6 kg. These two parts are removable and attaching it back easily.

Technically, the rear pillar has been redesigned to support the removable roof, accommodate an automatic protection system for passengers, and provide the engine compartment with ample ventilation.

The engine hood on the Roadster differs from the hood on the Coupe because of its central “spinal column” with two pairs of hexagonal windows connected at the sides as if they were hyper-tech armour plates. The main purpose of the design is to cool the engine, drain off rain water properly and, of course, to show off the V12 engine and its bay.

Besides, the powered rear windshield not only influences the flow of air in the vehicle, but also controls the experience of the sound from the twelve-cylinder engine. The wind deflector, on the other hand, delivers almost complete calm inside the car, even at high speed. It rests on the front windshield frame and can likewise be stored in the luggage compartment when not in use.

The range of colours available for the Roadster has been supplemented with a very light, metallic blue color, Azzuro Thetis, whose tone varies with the angle of the light. This colour recalls the shade of the extraordinarily beautiful 1968 Miura Roadster, and both highlights and reinforces the lines of the vehicle by adding strength and dynamism.

The interior use of leather called Sabbia Nefertem highlights the superb hand-made craftsmanship of the upholstery from Sant’ Agata Bolognese and is a perfect match for the exterior in Azzuro Thetis.

The new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster is fitted with new Dione 20”/21” lightweight forged aluminium rims. The set of wheels lower the weight of the vehicle by 10kg as compared with the standard set of rims.

In conclusion, the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 coupe is an exceptional vehicle for its design, with its build concept based on a carbon fibre monocoque and superior dynamic behaviour resulting from advanced technological solutions. The entire package of the Aventador Roadster offers more extraordinary driving experience without compromising much on performance.

Lamborghini together with Luxury Swiss watchmaker Blancpain make their first debut of Asia Series for the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race. The race has been receiving well response from the public and it’s already the 4th year over in Europe. The race can be participate individually or in team of 2 will be using the Lamborghini Gallardo based Lamborghini Super Trofeo race car in the world’s fastest one-make race series.

Drivers from across countries in Asia, like Malaysia itself, Singapore, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Japan came with their bespoke Lamborghini Super Trofeo race car to take on in 2 fiercely competitive race. “The Super Trofeo Asia Series is an important milestone for our company” said Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “Lamborghini is already well- known for its iconic supercars, but now we are also excited to share our passion for motorsports with other enthusiasts across Asia. We are also thrilled to have such an international group of drivers, and we look forward to follow them throughout the Series as they experience Lamborghini in its most extreme form.”

Not just the race was happening in Sepang Malaysia, Lamborghini has also partner with  Blancpain, the prestigious Swiss watchmaker to showcase both companies products and allow customers to have experience  in the event. Blancpain is also the European Series’ title sponsor, this is Blancpain first sponsored  Series in Asia.

As mentioned the Lamborghini Super Trofeo is based on a racing version of the Gallardo LP560-4 and demonstrating once more its advanced precision engineering and fascinating design aesthetic. The lightweight version of the road-going Gallardo LP 560-4, the Super Trofeo race car comes complete with a reworked chassis and a power output of 419 kW from its V10 engine. The race car features Lamborghini’s permanent four-wheel drive and comes eguipped with leading safety features, including an FIA FT-3 fuel cell, a full roll cage, a new Brembo Racing brake system and compatibility with HANS safety devices.

Typical of Lamborghini, the Super Trofeo’s bodyshell is not only extremely light but also exceptionally safe. Boasting tremendous torsional stiffness, the Super Trofeo maintains outstanding handling. Carbon-fibre composite features heavily in the bodyshell’s construction, forming the front skirt, splitter, rear bonnet, front compartment cover, side skirts, diffuser, rear skirt and large rear wing. The rear wing can also be repositioned to suit the requirements of different race tracks and environments, while all the race car’s windscreens and windows are made from Makrolon lightweight hi-tech polycarbonate. Complementing its carbon-fibre black Alcantara panels, the Super Trofeo comes equipped with one low-mounted racing bucket seat, produced in light and stiff Kevlar carbon-fibre composite, providing perfect ergonomic support to the driver, who is then secured into position by a six-point racing harness.

The Series’ debut in Sepang was held successfully alongside the famous Malaysian Super Series. Throughout the rest of the Super Trofeo Asia Series, Lamborghini and its watch partner will be working in conjunction with other major racing events across Asia, such as Formula Nippon in Japan, and Audi Pandelta Race in Zhuhai, China culminating in a big season finale in Shanghai in November with a Group final (Lamborghini ST, Audi R8 LMS Cup, VW Scirocco Cup Asia and Porsche Cup Asia).

Lamborghini Gallardo has always been on the list of many automotive enthusiasts dream super cars. There’s has been many revision and variants of the Gallardo by Lamborghini, but never like this one – The Lamborghini Gallardo MLE (Malaysia Limited Edition).

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 MLE, it’s a result of long time collaboration between Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur. The Lamborghini Gallardo MLE it’s a one off 20 limited units solely for Malaysian market. It’s based on the Gallardo LP550-2 but with the styling of a Superleggera Gallardo. The number 550 purely means the number of horsepowers of the vehicle. The dash (-2) means it’s a 2 rear wheel drive configuration. A standard 5.2L V10 Lamborghini raging bull engine will be powering this MLE Gallardo with a maximum torque of 510Nm.

The Lamborghini Gallardo MLE will combine the aggressive exterior of the Gallardo Superleggera and interior of the standard Gallardo LP 550-2. Drivers will get to enjoy a limited special exciting looking Gallardo yet a comfort ride with features of standard Gallardo.  Like the Superleggera exterior, the Lamborghini Gallardo Malaysia Limited Edition will be equipped with an aggressive front bumper, carbon side skirts, titanium exhaust tips and a carbon-fibre rear diffuser. The bespoke interior is a luxurious combination of both smooth leather and alcantara.

These limited breeds of raging bulls of Lamborghini Gallardo MLE are available in 3 colours, Bianco Monocerus (solid white), Verde Ithaca (pearl green) and Arancio Borealis (pearl orange). The Gallardo MLE has a starting price of RM868,000 before duties, road tax and insurance or an on the road price without insurance of RM1,680,000. All cars come with 3 years factory warranty. The two-seater Lamborghini Aventador J comes with 515kW/700hp combining innovative solutions and brand new materials and demonstrating Automobili Lamborghini’s enormous expertise in carbon fibre technology.

Precisely, the technical basis for the Aventador J is the Aventador LP 700-4, Lamborghini’s new V12 model. Presented in 2011, the Aventador has been acclaimed by customers and journalists worldwide alike. The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4’s technology package is unique – its structure is based on an innovative monocoque made from carbon fibre reinforced polymers that combines systematic lightweight design with optimum stiffness and safety. The new twelve-cylinder with a displacement of 6.5-litres and 515 kW / 700 hp combines the best in high-revving thrills with mighty pulling power. Its super-fast ISR transmission, permanent all-wheel drive and push-rod suspension combine this potent power with the utmost handling precision.

The Lamborghini Aventador J is a radically open automobile – exterior and interior meld into each other. The designers and engineers in Sant’Agata Bolognese have not only dispensed entirely with the roof, but also with the front windshield. This requires that drivers of the Aventador J must have the right equipment for driving at top speeds higher than 300km/h.

The letter J is derived from the sporting rules of the FIA world motorsport organization. Its “Appendix J” defines the technical specification of race cars in the various classes.
