When you are fighting the blue Monday earlier this week, Naza Italia took the chance by launching the 2013 Maserati GranTurismo Sport officially in Malaysia.
The Maserati GranTurismo Sport is powered by 4.7-litre all-alloy V8 engine with 460hp (338kW) @ 7,000rpm and 520Nm of max torque, peaking at 4,750rpm. The meaty V8 is mated with either 6-speed automatic (MC Auto Shift) or electro-actuated 6-speed (MC Shift) transmissions. The V8 engine emits 331gram/km of CO2 and sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds with a maximum speed up to 300km/h.
The car weights between 1,780kg and 1,880kg, which is good to stabilise and balance the car during high speed. The suspension system is now revised with new generation of the Sport Skyhook active damping system for improved handling and ride comfort. The braking system is enhanced with dual cast, cross-drilled, grooved discs and Brembo callipers. Based on the given figure, the car is capable to start from 100-0km/h in less than 35m distances.
The craftsmanship of the interior is superb with top class materials. The all seats are upgraded to have better support and comfort. A flat-bottomed steering wheel is adopted to provide more knee room and legroom to the driver.
For V8 engine sound lovers, the GranTurismo Sport’s oval exhaust tips generate an even richer sound. By switching on the Sport button, a natural engine note will be accentuated. In the Sport-Manual mode, the exhaust system diverts the exhaust gases down a shorter route to the exhaust tips, generating a richer, and more exhaust note with V8 beat.
The 2013 Maserati GranTurismo Sport was officially launched in Malaysia by sole importer and distributor – Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, at its 3S flagship showroom in Petaling Jaya, next to Ferrari’s showroom. Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman and CEO of Naza Group of Companies, Datuk Maureen Mohd Said, Senior VP 4 Wheels Naza Motor Group, Encik Wan Ahmad, GM Naza Italia Sdn Bhd and Mr. Gaetano Marino, Regional Director Maserati Asia Pacific were present at the launch.
The new GranTurismo Sport is priced from RM 1,118,000 in Peninsular Malaysia.
For those folks who shopping for a luxurious car will certainly be “seduced” by the GranTurismo Sport’s styling and performance. So, what is your choice now? A Porsche 911 Turbo or Maserati GranTurismo Sport?
