I guess u want to price yourself out of the market!!! Thinking of getting one but now will opt for toyota or honda. your marketing people are dumb enough to think that at that price pp will overlook other more established brand. May you rot with all your stocks in the open air!!

    • Ling

hahaha….for your information waiting period is about 2 to 3 months

  • joe

I was so looking forward to this but with the price announcement, one would rather opt for the more established Japs.

  • JD

Nice car but will pass due to the price

  • Jai

My God….Just too pricey for these locally assembled cars. Well, another government+Proton agenda in Malaysian Auto Industries I guess….

    • langsewah

dah tugas mana2 kerajaan melindungi produk negaranya..

This Elantra may have a good look, sporty, up to date styling and undeniably good engine but does anyone here know anything about it transmission?. I mean for the Auto version?. Well it transmission was 100% developed by Hyundai and it ‘reliability’ is still in question. Many Kia and Hyundai cars had tranny problems before and to get them fixed or replacement usually are quite expensive. They deliberately made a ‘Special parts’ in the tranny so that whenever you get the problems you must get the parts from their service centers and nowhere else. The parts are mostly very expensive or sometimes they are just too difficult to get and getting worse as the Korean trannies are not Japanese compatibles. Plus with the car just over priced, in my opinion it is better to get Honda CIVIC or ALTIS or VW POLO.+ they are all have good resale value. So, the choice is yours really n sorry if I m wrong bro….

  • Amzad_si

    price….fuhhh

  • Kepokia

u think u want 2 buy u buy don’t talk much.people money, let people decide bye himself. its their opinion, their choice.

  • Jezmit

How can u say this is expensive when the corrola and civic cost 20 k more? and wat is wrong with a ckd?

  • Happy

Wat type of condemn you all made? It is because you cannot afford to pay then you become jealous?
Just to let you know d car become expensive due to d taxation and partly due to protect proton.

  • My Opinion

To me not that expensive. Been only once in my friends Hyundai ( I am using Camry 2.4) and have to say that its not bad at all. If you buy a car and always thinking of resale value in my opinion almost all cars will depreciate. Just buy and look after it well and you’ll be a happy buyer and user. Just my one cent opinion.

  • Ombikinbitin

very very beutiful car…i rather to get it and never thing about its price. This is the one i look for.

  • meh

the price just damn!!! i blame it on government.

    • Amirrahayu

oi,never do research never know!!people condemning cars include proton actually they fail automoive technologies!!dumb ass!bfore judge the price study every inch inside n outside, every tech they did on that car!!!

  • taufiq

  • Six-speed

very good respond for the car, already booking for 3 unit but very pool delivery for the car, even order from branches not from dealer. how to sell more ????????????????????????????????????????

  • SnrLecturer

Have test-driven the car recently. Very nice and very comfortable. Also have had a1.6 Hyundai Matrix for 8 years; no problems other than the usual wear and tear and the fuel consumption.
From the info given the Elantra is a much more economical car. Anyway I have booked a 1.6 HS and expecting delivery in about 2 months time.

    • Sudahsu

Yes, I have my Sonata for 8 years and no issues other than the normal wear and tear as well, who say Hyundai no good?

  • Willyly2

i got 2 elantra 1.8.haha. Sangat berbaloi. TQ Hyundai.

  • unhappy

my elantra 1.8 auto is only 3 mth old and i’m having problems with the aircon. the seremban dealership has a workshop manned by mechanics who have no idea about aircons and took it to 3 different shops and i’m not sure if thats the end of my story-got it back on saturday and hope i don’t have to go back to see them again- so unprofessional and bad attitude is enough to put you off!!! before anyone buys a hyundai, go check out the service centre please!!!

  • confius

  • Flyboy74

With the strike in Korea, delivery of car has been pushed to 4 ~ 7 months!!!

  • Lan

if you need a car for convenient, transportation or style go for elantra. It is reliable and value for money. Talking about resell price or second hand value or label as a ‘cool car is just a common delima to everyone. Almost all cars have depreciate. Think as a user not as a car dealer.

  • HappyGirl

I just got my elantra after 5 months waiting.  But it’s worth a wait.

  • sad girl

hi happy girl… boleh bagi info bila you booked dan what colour do you get. Saya booked since end of May (submit form) dan 30th May, loan lulus. Until now, no news from hyundai… Tq
