Edaran Tan Chong Motor, the Malaysia’s Nissan distributor has just launched the Nissan 370z (also known as Nissan Fairlady in Japan Domestic Market) into Malaysian market. The new Nissan 370z comes in 2 transmission models (thankfully) a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. The Fairlady now is equppied with a 3.7L V6 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift), offering 328bhp and 363Nm of torque which is said to be about 16hp more than the previous 350z (according to Fifth Gear).

The Nissan 370z currently comes in 3 colours and 2 types of interior trim in Malaysia market. The colours are as below,

Nissan 370z Black
Nissan 370z Diamond Black (Pearl)
Nissan 370z white
Nissan 370z Brilliant White Pearl (3-coat pearl)
Nissan 370z Silver
Nissan 370z Blade Silver (Metallic)

The Nissan 370z is priced from RM354,400 in the Malaysia market. Although it does seem much to invest over a used Nissan 350z which could cost between RM120-200k but Nissan has put in much improvements over the last version of Fairlady. Nissan has also equppied the 370z with SynchroRev Match mode on the manual 6 speed. Basically it helps you to rev your car to match the speed without putting effort on adjusting the cluth and throttle when you change gears. The new car is also 50kg lighter over the 350z. What do you get here is 0-100 in 5.4 second. Nissan has also make the 370z shorter infact, to improve it’s agility and handling.

A feature we would like to comment is that Nissan has made the 370z steering and speedometers stick together. Which means that you can adjust your steering anyway you like without worrying if the steering block your view or the speedometers.
