MUGEN has revealed their concept model for the Honda Civic Euro 2012 in England last week. The model is fitted with prototype body parts which consists of  front sports grille, front under spoiler, side spoiler, rear under spoiler, and a rear wing. All these are designed to give the standard Honda Civic Euro 2012 an additional of aerodynamic efficiency.

The design that you see now for the Mugen Civic Euro will be a close to production one which scheduled to be launch end of this year in the Europe. The Mugen Civic Euro Concept will be equipped with 18″ Mugen GP forged alloy rim along with sports suspension. This setup it’s to improve driving stability. The MUGEN active gate brake system provides increased braking ability.

MUGEN as the renowned Honda tuner will improve the overall balance balance of acceleration, deceleration and cornering. The upcoming Mugen Civic Euro 2012 will have a sharper characteristic, controlled ride & handling.

MUGEN did not forget the interior changes for the Euro Civic 2012. Mugen will use the latest addition of the MUGEN’s MS-R full bucket seat to give the driver & passenger full support and keep them securely in position in all condition. The seat, made with full0carbon shell clad and MUGEN’s unique fabric giving a performance-enhancing weight reduction. As you might have known that the all-new 2012 Honda Civic 5-door hatchback was unveiled at 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany from an article in our previous post.

The 9^thgeneration of Honda Civic 5-door hatchback will launch in early next year and produced exclusively at Honda’s Swindon factory in the UK. Regrettably, this model will be available in Europe only.

The new 2012 Honda Civic Euro was available with a choice of three engines. This includes a 100HP 1.4-litre petrol, a 142HP 1.8-litre petrol, and a 150HP 2.2-litre turbo diesel.

On the other hand, Honda is planning to launch an even more economical and environmentally friendly engine in the form of a smaller displacement diesel engine.

“By the end of 2012, we will add a newly developed smaller diesel engine to the Civic range,” stated Honda Motor President and CEO, Takanobu Ito, during the Frankfurt Motor Show presentation. “Designed specifically for the European market, the new engine will further reduce CO2 emissions,” he added.

Honda Motor Co. has officially release a set of official photos of the new 2012 Honda Civic Hatchback ahead of the 64^th Frankfurt Motor Show.

According to Honda, its designers “wanted to keep the sporty and advanced elements of the car’s character but tailor them to express the new model’s even more elegant yet dynamic feel”, while the company adds that sources of inspiration included a “blended wing body” aeroplane in which the fuselage and wings blend into a single body.

Inside the car, the styling is similar to the previous generation of Civic hatchback (FN) with a double layered dashboard combining both analogue and digital displays. Honda says it has improved interior quality as well as passenger space.

The rear torsion beam suspension retained while the entire suspension system of the Civic hatchback has revised. Nevertheless, Honda’s engineers claim that the reworked parts will improve the car’s ride quality, comfort as well as handling and body control.

The production of the European market hatchback will take place at Honda’s Swindon plant in the UK. The 2012 Honda Civic hatchback will begin production and selling on early next year.
