Lexus unveiled the redesigned RX SUV range at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The RX 350 and 450h will offer Sport Luxury models along with a newly adopted Luxury and F Sport model – replacing the outgoing Prestige and Sport model for Europe market.
The new and expanded RX Line features a redesigned exterior, all-new on board technology, greater exterior and interior colour schemes, new steering wheel, a revised instrument binnacle and a second-generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI).
The new exterior of the RX is based on the Lexus’ new corporate face, first appearing on all-new GS models. The new HID or LED headlamps (featuring LED Daytime Running Lamps in Lexus’ signature arrowhead design) complement the all-new frontal design.
The new F Sport models feature unique exterior styling, including shadow chrome 19-inch alloys, F Sport badging and unique mesh grille inserts. F Sport models also gain a unique black and grey leather-accented interior, front bucket seats, alloy pedals and unique F Sport-badged steering wheel.
Moreover, backing up its muscular stance is a re-engineered handling package, featuring unique suspension tune and lateral performance dampers/braces. The RX 350 F Sport will also gain paddle shifters, allowing drivers to exploit the performance potential of the six-speed sequential gearbox.
In addition to the existing ECO and EV driving modes, all RX 450h hybrid models also benefit from the adoption of a new Sport driving mode, which provides greater response to driver inputs for increased driving enjoyment.
