A production-ready 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Coupe model have been discovered last week in the US trademark office’s public database. However, Volkswagen has yet to reveal official plans for a two-door version of the new Jetta.

Therefore, the powerplants that will feature in the possible Jetta Coupe is still unclear. The concept version, revealed at Detroit in January ahead of the sedan’s unveiling, is a Hybrid that powered by Volkswagen’s 1.4 litre TSI four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 20kW electric motor. The Hybrid powerplant produces 132kW and 240Nm of torque.

In the other hand, the new Jetta sedan will be offered with variety of engine line-up in Europe. Like the 77kW 1.2 litre TSI, 90kW 1.4 litre TSI, 120kW 1.4 litre TSI and a 150kW 2.0 litre TSI. For Diesel, it offers with 77kW 1.6 litre TDI and a 105kW 2.0 litre TDI.

Personally, I greatly speculate that the option of EA888 2.0 TSI will be included for the Coupe.

Referring to our previous posting on Volkswagen Passat 2011 Leaked Photo, we found a spy video of the redesigned 2011 VW Passat. As mentioned previously, Volkswagen Passat will make official world premiere in this year’s Paris Motor Show in October and arrive in dealerships early next year.

The 2011 Volkswagen Passat is expected having new front and rear designs that identical to their current line-up like Scirocco, Golf and the 2011 Jetta. Apart from there, the Passat’s interior will receive a new design entirely. In the video, you will notice the new steering wheel and door panel.

Moving forward to engine and transmission, I foreseeing Volkswagen will be remain using the award winning TSI engine (EA888) as well as the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) from the current model for the upcoming 2011 Passat.

In the other article, we have covered the preview of the YF Sonata. However, I think I am more tempted to show you another beauty from Volkswagen, the Passat CC.

The Volkswagen Passat CC is a 4-door coupe that debuted back in January 2008 at North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Basically, the CC stands for Comfort Coupe and marketed as a more luxury model over the standard Passat. This car is designed based on A5 (PQ46) platform like the Passat but the CC is longer, lower, wider and of course Sportier.

Back in October 2009, Volkswagen Group Malaysia had announced the availability of the Passat CC and Scirocco to the Malaysian market. Both models are offered with EA888 2.0 R4 16v TSI/TFSI turbo-charged engine (2.0L TSI) that producing 200PS (147kW) @ 5,100-6,000rpm and 280Nm @ 1,700-5,000rpm. Don’t worry, the engine is RON 95 compatible. Initially, the Passat CC is powered by 6-speed Tiptronic Auto Transmission to front wheel. But now, you will get the 6-speed Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) instead in the 2010 imported models. The car was initially designed with only 4 seats, but the option of 5 seats has been taken by VGM for all 2010 imported models too. Therefore, you won’t be able to find the rear center console anymore.

The car features for Passat CC is awesome! It comes with luxury Nappa leather upholstery, In-dash 6 discs CD changer, RCD 510 touch screen head unit with reverse camera (rear VW emblem will tilt when reversing), Bi-Xenon headlights for low beam as well as high beam, Electric Panorama tilting sunroof, 18” alloy wheels with 235/40 R18 tyres and no mileage cap 5 years warranty (2 year warranty plus 3 year extended warranty with T&C). Yes, that’s the way. 5 Years Warranty is essential!

To further providing a better driving experience in terms of comfort and sport, this car equipped with Adaptive Chassis Control DCC. You will be able to select the choice of Sport, Comfort and Normal mode with a touch of a button.

The steering wheel is light as it is electrically assisted and maintenance free. It comes with all-round disc brakes with Bosch 8.0 ESP with ABS, EDB, BA, EDL and ASR. Basically, the safety feature wise is fully equipped with dual front airbags, curtain airbag for front and rear passengers, side airbags for front passenger, ISOFIX for child seats. Overall, this car is rated with 5-Star under Euro NCAP.

Based on our research and owners’ contribution, the fuel consumption is average 8.4 litres per 100 km (11.9 km per litre). For such vehicle with this performance, it is consider very economical and efficient. This car is capable of delivering a top speed of 232km/h and 0-100 km/h in 7.6secs.

The new Volkswagen Passat CC is fully imported (CBU) from Emden, Germany and selling On-The-Road (OTR) excluding insurance from RM245,060.00.

The Volkswagen Jetta front is redesigned with a bold horizontal line making it the Jetta a more mature face, it feels like VW Passat’s younger brother now. The side of the Jetta is shaped with shoulder line running from the front to back giving it a more executive look.

The rear of the Volkswagen Jetta it’s improve with new designed rear lights. At some point it reminds us of the BMW 3-series from the rear. Inside the new VW Jetta is expected to be more spacious cabin and extra legroom due to it’s longer wheelbase.The Interior is similar to the current VW Jetta as well as the Golf. We do hope for a new designed interior, but however as an European company like BMW – the interior of the VW Jetta is more or less the same panel.

There will be a new engine variant to choose from including a 104hp 1.2L Tsi Petrol, a 1.4L Tsi Petrol which produces 121hp and a top of the range 2.0- Litre 200hp TSI engine. For the Diesel variants, there will be a 104bhp 1.6 TDI and a 138bhp 2.0L TDI. All of the variant is expected to come with Volkswagen twin-clutch DSG gearbox. For further fuel effective, the BlueMotion Jetta is available too with start-stop system & brake generation. Currently in Malaysia, the Current Volkswagen Jetta 1.6L which produces 102hp

The current version of Jetta which is available in Malaysia is selling for RM165,888.00 for the 1.6L version which produces 102ps and the 2.0L FSI which produces 150ps at RM182,888.00.

All the new Golf Mk-6 is claimed to be the quietest, safest golf ever including the 1.2 TSI to the GTI. Above and beyond, Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI was honoured many awards worldwide. According to our source, there is good news for the Malaysian Motorists now. Volkswagen Malaysia (VGM) is working on to launch the 1.4 TSI model soon, in fact very soon!! It is targeting to be official launch somewhere on July or August 2010. However, we are unable to confirm whether VGM will be bringing the single turbo-charged or the twin-charged model of the Golf 1.4 TSI. The car is target to be priced at the mark of RM140k. Besides, the 265hp VW Golf R and VW Scirocco 1.4 TSI will be introducing at the same time. Meantime, let me introduce you the amazingly awesome Golf 1.4 TSI.

The turbo-charged model of the Golf 1.4 TSI produces a maximum of 122bhp with 200Nm of torque from 1,500rpm to 4,000rpm. This single-charged TSI power plant able to hits a top speed of 200km/h and a 0-100km/h acceleration of 9.5 seconds,  The new efficiency benchmarks set by the single-charged TSI power plants that mated with the 7-speed DSG gearbox and consumption figures of 6 litres/100km. Do take note that the new Golf GTI Mk-6 still having the 6-speed DSG gearbox but the 7-Speed DSG for 1.4 is more for eco-efficiency than sport.

For the twin-charged model of the 1.4 TSI, the engine producing 160bhp and 240Nm of torque from 2,000rpm, and also paired with the 7-speed DSG, taking 0-100km/h in 8 seconds which is still slower than the bigger sibling – GTI by 1.1 seconds but is consider very good from a 1.4 engine. With the huge force induction applied, the car force to hit top speed of 220km/h. The 7-speed DSG helps to offer a better fuel efficiency on highway cruising.

As you might have realise from the GTI, the cabin inside are more roomy than the previous model. The level of quality you can feel is perfect when you step inside the car. Even the 1.4 TSI, it also comes with coloured bumper, twin exhaust tailpipes and roof spoiler.

On Safety side, Golf come with 7 airbags, the innovative front whiplash-optimised head restraint system (WOKS), ISOFIX mounting points, and ESP. According to ADAC, Europe’s largest automobile club and Germany’s counterpart to the Automobile Association, the Golf is “a car with one of the best levels of pedestrian protection available”.

According a statement by Proton, Volkswagen parties had other priorities right now and would not pursuing any possibility tie-up with Proton. However this does not mean Proton’s aim to continuously improve themselves and their cars stop here. Proton will continue it’s Asean Multi-Local OEM strategy, which includes the Proton Emas project and more new models coming up. As well as certain product collaboration with it’s old partner – Mitsubishi. Proton is also working towards expanding in China with Youngman.

The all-new Volkswagen Passat that was about the make official world premiere in this year’s October Paris Motor show was leaked from a German VW broshure.  The VW Passat is will take on the BMW 3-series, Mercedes C-lass and the Audi A4 as it is the similar in class and also price range. This photo reveals the VW Passat 2011 production version. As  expected the new Passat wil inherit the new VW family features. With headlights looks similar like the VW Golf  other than that the  lower and wider air intakes  with narrower upper grille. The lights will feature he LED daytime lighting.

It is also said by Volkswagen they will be inheriting the 3 spoke multifunction steering wheel and more of the chrome trims from the more exclusive VW Passat CC. Now, the VW Passat CC is selling for RM243,888.00 – the new VW Passat 2011 is expected to fall into that price range.  There will be a few range of engine including a 1.4 & 1.6-litre TSI petrol and a 1.6 & 2.0 litre turbo diesels. There more racing spec version namely Passat R it feature a 2.0-litre turbo pushing  270bhp, that will be launching after Volkswagen Passat 2011 goes on sale early next year.

From a glance, the VW Polo sedan, looks like Nissan Latio Sedan, Suzuki SX4 Sedan.  In fact, the car is categories as small compact car segment. The car is built in Volkswagen’s factory in Russia. The idea of the Volkswagen Polo Sedan is design specifically to target the Russian market with the consideration of it’s climate and road condition.

Volkswagen used a more robust paints and parts to stand more aggressive agents to hopefully better resists things like stone chip. The suspension of the Polo Sedan is also tuned to adapt to bad road in Russia. The New Volkswageon Polo Sedan will be offering a new 1.6-litre Otto engine which pumps out sufficiently 105hp for the small car. Paired with a 5 speed manual transmissions or an option of a 6-speed tiptronic. There will be 3 trim level to choose from, named as Trendly, Comfortline & the top of the range Highline. The Polo Sedan Highline will come with standard air-bags and ESP.

More information to come while we awaits Volkswagen to announce. No news on the VW Polo Sedan in other continents, but looking into the world’s market – Personally i think China is quite positive and maybe this would be the right car to collaborate with Proton?

The German government wants to put one million electric cars on roads until 2020. As now, Volkswagen will have to fight with Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, Nissan and Opel, automakers that have already announced the production of electric models that will debut next year.

The Volkswagen officials have presented the concept of the first Electric Golf  in a special ceremony at Germany. The model is equipped with an electric motor with 115 HP, powered by lithium-ion batteries. It offers 200 lb-ft of torque from the first rotation, while the battery gives a range of 93 miles. Top speed is limited to 87 mph (or 140km/h) to preserve the model autonomy.

The next generation of Volkswagen Golf Mk-7 will be launching in late 2012. It seems like the Golf Mk-6 having a much shorter life than the Golf Mk-5. The Golf Mk-5 which was 2.3 million units sold and it is expected that the production target for Golf Mk-6 will be 1.6 million units before end of sales. The current generation of Volkswagen Golf Mk-6 very similar to the previous generation, but uses a slightly modified platform of the Golf Mk-5. Looking at the Golf Mk-6, it looks more like a Golf Mk-5 facelift rather than a new model.

It is speculate that the new Golf will be having 11 range of engines, from 1.2-liter TSI engine (86 and 105 HP), followed by 1.4-liter TSI engine (122 and 160 HP), 1.6-liter TDI engine (90 and 105 hp), 2.0-liter TDI engine (140, 170 and 220 HP) and ending with the 2.0-liter TSI engine (220 and 300 HP).
