Totoyota To Display A New Crossover Concept At Paris Motor Show

Toyota will present the innovative C-HR concept at next month’s Paris motor show, revealing the brand’s unique take on the C-crossover segment.

The concept combines a bold new design language with an agile, engaging driving experience and a hybrid powertrain.

Toyota’s press conference will take place in Hall 4 of the Mondial de l’Automobile at 8:00 a.m. (4 p.m. AEST) on Thursday, October 2.

Six Toyota vehicles including the locally built Camry Hybrid have been named as top picks for Australian new-car buyers by the Carsales editorial site www.motoring.com.au.

Toyota’s family-oriented Kluger SUV, 86 sports car, LandCruiser 200 Series and Prado, and Prius v hybrid wagon also made the list of cars recommended by the site’s motoring experts.

The new-generation seven-seat Kluger, launched in March, features a stylish design with more emotional appeal while engineers have delivered a more engaging drive and liberated more interior space.

So far this year, Camry Hybrid is the country’s top-selling hybrid car, the 86 heads the sports-car market, LandCruiser 200 is dominant in its segment and Prado sales are up more than eight per cent.

Prius v is the third member of the expanded Prius family that also includes the third-generation Prius hatch and the Prius c city car.

Carsales editor-in-chief Mike Sinclair said the recommended chanel espadrilles have been judged on their performance, refinement, handling, suitability for purpose and value for money.

He said resale value, reliability and factors such as warranty and the availability of benefits such as capped-price servicing were also considered.

“The cars we choose are the best in their respective segments and represent great buying choices for new car shoppers,” Mr Sinclair said.

Toyota sells more vehicles in Australia than any other brand and is currently leading the new-vehicle market for the 12th consecutive year.

New Toyota vehicles are covered by Toyota Service Advantage, the company’s capped-price servicing plan*.

Australia snaps up 10% of global sales for Toyota 86

Australian sport-car enthusiasts have demonstrated their passion for driving Toyota’s popular 86  by snapping up almost one out of every 10 examples sold worldwide.

In a remarkable double, the 10,000th Toyota 86 has just been sold in Australia at virtually the same time as the compact and dynamic sports car has passed 100,000 sales globally.

TOYOTA 86 - A DOUBLE HIT!

Australia – with 10,363 customers since local sales began in June 2012 – is the biggest market for the 86 outside Japan (39,000 sales) and the United States (35,000).

Toyota Australia’s executive director sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the 86 was Australia’s best-selling sports car due to its style, performance, balance, handling and affordability.

“The Toyota 86 has become a halo car that demonstrates Toyota’s commitment to designing and engineering cars that really get your heart pumping,” Mr Cramb said.

“Importantly, the passion inside Toyota that led to the 86 is also resulting in more emotional styling and greater driving enjoyment in other Toyota vehicles such as the latest generations of RAV4, Corolla and Kluger.”

Mr Cramb said 80 per cent of Australian 86 sales were to private buyers, a significant proportion of whom were new to Toyota including first-time car buyers.

“The 86 has helped rejuvenate the company’s brand with an influx of young new customers who may never previously have considered a Toyota.

“Achieving 10,000 sales in less than two years demonstrates the love Australians have for sports cars and the strong appeal of the Toyota brand.”

Mr Cramb said that, in addition to the ability of the 86 to delight driving enthusiasts, the manual GT variant of the four-seat sports car remains at its launch price of $29,990.*

“Even so, it’s the more expensive GTS grade that has been in hottest demand, accounting for two-thirds of sales.

“Almost 40 per cent of customers have opted for the GTS manual while the GTS auto has found homes with more than one-quarter of all 86 buyers, and both are out-selling the lower-priced GT variants.”

The 86 sales performance – including 6,706 sold in 2013 – is a powerful reminder of Toyota’s sports-car heritage.

In Malaysia, Toyota Innova receives a refreshed front design for 2014, which gives a more “complicated” appearance to the car. The radiator grille, with three horizontal slats, has been enlarged to provide more presence while the double layer front bumper has been redesigned to complement the new grille. Fog lamps are neatly integrated in recesses on either corner of the bumper.

At the rear, there is a thicker chrome garnish with integrated reflectors added to the large rear door. The chrome finish adds a touch of class to the Innova. The 15-inch alloy rims now come with a new 10-spoke design that complements the advanced image of the overall exterior design.

The dual air conditioner ensures that all occupants receive cool air for enhanced comfort and separate controls at the front and over the 2nd row for extra convenient to rear passengers. Automatic climate control air-conditioning comes standard with 2.0G variant.

The latest Toyota Innova is available in four exterior colour choices – Dark Steel Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Medium Silver Metallic and Solid White (non-metallic).
