Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia officially launched the new Mitsubishi Lancer EX on 15 July 2010. The new Lancer EX redefines  it with an elegant makeover and come with a number of luxurious features such as Keyless Operation System, elegant cockpit with wood-print accent, leather seats, Cruise Control, boot lip and 2 DIN Touch Screen LCD Audio Systems with GPS.

Speaking to the media during the official launch ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Mr. Keizo Ono said, “The Lancer EX is a stylish blend of elegance and luxurious comfort. We believe it will appeal to an even broader market in the midsize family sedan segment and firmly establish itself as a strong contender in this segment.”

The new Lancer EX comes with refined chrome accentuated front and door handles, new side protector mouldings and rear lip spoiler with trunk lid moulding. Its elegant profile is further enhanced with 16-inch alloy wheels instead of 18-inch alloy wheels like the Lancer GT.

The new Lancer EX is pretty much similar with the Lancer GT, both having the same 2.0-liter Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) MIVEC engine with an output of 155PS at 6,000rpm and 199Nm at 4,250rpm. The engine is also mated with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) in the Lancer EX. However, the Lancer EX doesn’t come with paddle shifter like the one you found in the Lancer GT.

Safety wise, the car comes with ABS, EBD and RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body as standard safety features. The new Lancer EX is covered by a 5-year or 100,000km Warranty and 2-year or 50,000km Maintenance-Free Program.

Priced at RM117,676.10 (OTR without insurance) for Peninsular Malaysia, the colour option are limited to White Solid and Black Mica.

Tommy Kaira published the first official photo of the modified Japanese domestic market Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart from its firm. The modified Colt-R gets a cosmetic makeover with a redesigned front end that includes a new grille and a more aggressively styled bumper while the 5-door supermini also features a carbon-fiber racing strip.

The standard JDM Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 154HP that sends power to the front wheels through a Getrag five-speed manual gearbox.

The Japanese tuner said that further details and photos will be released at a later date.

Mitsubishi Lancer is facelifted! According to Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Website – with the tagline “Fantastic at the Forefront“, it is obvious that the front bumper of the Mitsubishi Lancer has now inherited the Lancer Evo X style. The Mitsubishi Lancer is about 2 years now in our Malaysian market. New Lancer Owners do not have to paint or modify your front bumpers with aftermarket product to have a Evo look-a-like with this facelift model. Judging by the photo itself, it is quite positive that a white colour version is coming along with this facelift. Seems like more and more people favour white coloured cars. I was also told that there will be RM2000 increment on the car. Which means the Mitsubishi Lancer GT version will be around RM125k. No news on if there’s others specification changes yet, but we’ve send out our spys and we’ll keep you posted once we got some new updates.

Recently in UK, Mitsubishi UK revealed Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ-400. The most powerful and accelerative production version of EVO X. On the down-side, this model is only available for the UK Market.

EVO X FQ-400 has been tune up with a new turbocharger for the 2.0 litre powerplant, remapped ECU, HKS Super Hybrid Filter and several other mechnical upgrades. This engine outputs like a super-car with 403bhp and 525Nm of torque making this FQ-400 from 0-100 in just 3.8 seconds.

Mitsubishi UK’s FQ400 package also include a more aggressive bodykit with a new louvred hood and carbon fiber parts, 18-inch alloy wheels shod in semi-slick Toyo tires and uprated Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks.

Japan’s Monster Motor Group release to have readied the 360 SPEC Lancer Evolution X which is sold as a complete car. Among other improvements, the tuners at Monster modified the EVO X’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine boosting output to 360HP and 50kgm of torque. Monster Motor offers two variants of the 360 SPEC, with the GSR-based model priced at 4.5 million Yen and the GSR Premium-based car at 5.3 million Yen.
