how to research trends But is the only place you find cashmere wool coat from Kashmir? Not at all, although the origins of the word came from the Kashmir area from the Persian times, we are fortunate that many other locations are now producing cashmere. One in particular is in Inner Mongolia, northern China. This area is the biggest producer of cashmere goats in the wool. Vary the pressure when working with color to give the sketch shadows and highlights. Never mind coloring outside the lines, because neatness in drawing doesn count much compared with the tangible creation that results from the idea. Some designers even purposefully color outside the outline, making the sketch more artistic and abstract. Many films of the 1940s centered on the trials and tribulations of the brave men and women fighting for freedom in Europe and the Pacific. In order to express its support for the hardships and rations endured during the War by regular citizens, Hollywood created simple and subdued costumes during this period. Women dressed in simple suits or slacks with sensible shoes. Batman Forever Return of Swamp Thing (Truly bad but I couldn make a strong enough case to call it a superhero film) Elektra Meteor Man (This film almost made my list but I left if off since it is mainly a spoof) Ghost Rider Dick Tracy And finally, I have to mention one film that was excluded that perhaps deserves the number one spot and that the 1994 Fantastic Four film that was never released theatrically or on video although it been heavily bootlegged. Intending it to be a $40 big budget film, the producer, Neu Constantin was about to lose his rights to the film and had to produce something. He hired director Roger Corman to make the film but not for $40 million. Matchy Matchy doesn't always work in the fashion world because sometimes you have to mix and match your outfits along with a little color. With the rules of wearing white after labor day doesn't really apply anymore. In fashion, you'll need to take certain risks without being afraid to strut your stuff in those outfits that you own. Are you one of those people that know exactly what you want but you have trouble finding it. Try looking for it on Ebay. You will be shocked to find exactly what you are looking for in a very reasonable price. Should petite women buy, tweak, or skip the animal influences trend for fall/winter 2010/2011? I say tweak on this fall fashion trend. Furs, whether real or faux, tend to be quite bulky, so petite women should wear them with care. For example, a fur lined hood may work better than a full length fur coat.

Honda Malaysia Launched CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid – RM 89,900 OTR

Last Friday, Honda Malaysia rolled out the first locally assembled (CKD) hybrid vehicle in Malaysia. The Honda Jazz Hybrid is now CKD at its Pegoh Plant in Alor Gajah. The historic launch ceremony was graced by Dato’ Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI).

Honda Malaysia CKD Jazz Hybrid Launch

Speaking at the event, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia said, “We are very pleased and honoured to introduce the first CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid today. This is a significant achievement for Honda Malaysia to further reinforce our position as the pioneer in hybrid technology in Malaysia. Since the first Honda hybrid car arrived on Malaysian roads in 2007, we have sold a total of 12,194 units of hybrids as at October 2012. This would not have been possible without the support and efforts by Malaysian government to promote energy efficient vehicles and green technology. Honda Malaysia remains committed to support the government’s green efforts. Our mission is to continue providing advanced technology products with speed and affordability that maximize the joy of our customers for them to enjoy the freedom of mobility while contributing towards a greener earth.”

Honda Malaysia is the first car manufacturer in Malaysia for assembling hybrids locally. The CKD Jazz Hybrid is built from the Jazz Hybrid platform, which debuted in Malaysia in March 2012 as CBU model. The CKD Jazz Hybrid is equipped with the same Honda’s 1.3L i-VTEC engine and Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system. It is the same engine as Honda Insight as well. The stylish exterior of the CKD Jazz Hybrid consists of Chrome Grille with Blue Reflector, Chrome Rear License Garnish, Rear LED Taillights with Blue Highlight and 15-inch Alloy Wheels. Overall, the CKD Jazz Hybrid further reflects the advanced and clean design of the Jazz.

The driving experience is further enhanced with easily accessible information on the Multi Information Display (MID). The Charge Assist Indicator and the fun ECO Assist System provide alerts on the driving style in an interactive and fun way. The CKD Jazz Hybrid also retains most of the functions from the CBU version such as the highly acclaimed Ultra Seat and a large boot space that emphasizes great practicality and space. The boot’s capacity (above floor) is up to 831 litres and allows the Ultra Seat to transform, flip and adjust easily to different modes for different purposes. Most importantly, the signal indicator and wiper controller is now at the ‘right’ side. Previously, the wiper controller is on the right and the signal indicator on the left.

On the safety aspect, the CKD Jazz Hybrid include Dual Front SRS Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Immobilizer System and 4-corner reverse sensor.

Mr. Yoichiro Ueno added, “The market acceptance of hybrid vehicles in Malaysia has been monitored since 2007. With our broad line-up of hybrid vehicles, I am proud to announce that 69% of the Hybrid cars in Malaysia are from Honda. These encouraging figures show that more and more Malaysians are becoming committed to the environment and Honda is playing a leading role in energy efficient technologies. Honda Malaysia targets to sell 4,800 units of CKD Jazz Hybrid in 2013.”

In producing the hybrid vehicle locally, Honda brought in the latest technology to Malaysia and provided training for local associates to ensure that the quality is at par with the global Honda standard. Every Hybrid battery pack in the CKD Jazz Hybrid is tested using the Intelligent Power Unit (IPU) inspection machine which was recently installed to ensure the integrity and performance of the key part of the hybrid vehicle. In addition to installing new machinery to the plant, Honda Malaysia is also committed to the transfer of technology and know-how to its local associates who have had the opportunity to be trained in Japan and Thailand on the intricacies of producing hybrid vehicles. The introduction of this CKD Jazz Hybrid into the current manufacturing system has been the shortest development of a New Model in the history of Honda Malaysia.

Honda Malaysia CKD Jazz Hybrid Launch

The new 2.15-kilometre test track in the Pegoh plant provides an excellent test ground that simulate normal road with various conditions and every Honda CKD model is put to the test here before it is delivered to the customer. Furthermore, the factory is designed to adopt the “Green Factory” concept. Honda Malaysia’s environmental commitment is not limited to the products, but it is also extended to overall corporate activities and factory. Improvement in energy management such as energy saving lights, natural air ventilation and waste reduction have been introduced to the factory.

Following this exciting development, Honda will set up a Research & Development Centre (HRAP-MA) at Honda’s Pegoh Plant by December 2012. The R&D Centre aims to develop parts design that best match the local suppliers and to further increase the local content.

Malaysia’s first ever locally produced hybrid model will be available at all showrooms starting today. The CKD Jazz Hybrid comes in five colours – Tafetta White, Sparkling Brown Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Polished Metal Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. Customers are able to enjoy 5-years or 140,000 km warranty for the battery.

Lastly, the price tag of the Honda Jazz Hybrid now revised to RM 89,900 on-the-road with insurance in Peninsular Malaysia. Precisely, it is cheaper by RM 4,900 compared to the fully imported (CBU) car that launched early this year.

Honda’s Hybrid Vehicles Total Sales Surpassed 1 Million Units

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced that its cumulative worldwide sales of hybrid vehicles surpassed 1 million units as of the end of September 2012. This milestone was reached 12 years and 11 months after the start of sales of the first generation Insight in Japan November 1999, which realized fuel economy of 35km/litre (based on Measured in 10・15 mode with a 5-speed MT vehicle) then the world’s highest fuel economy among all mass-production gasoline-powered vehicles.

2012 Honda Insight Malaysia

Capitalizing on the unique features of Honda’s original lightweight and compact IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) hybrid system, Honda has been enhancing its hybrid vehicle line-up and currently sells 8 hybrid models in approximately 50 countries around the world.

In May of this year, Honda began production of hybrid models in regions outside of Japan with production of the Acura ILX Hybrid in the USA followed by production of the Jazz Hybrid which began in Thailand in July of this year. Moreover, Honda is also planning to begin production of the Jazz Hybrid in Malaysia in 2012 to deliver hybrid vehicles with speed, affordability and low CO2 emissions for customers in Asia where demand for fuel efficient vehicles is expected to grow in the future.

In addition to further advancing the current hybrid model offerings equipped with the one-motor IMA hybrid system, Honda will introduce new hybrid vehicles for mid-size models which will be equipped with a two-motor hybrid system. Furthermore, for the pursuit of excellence in driving performance, a highly-efficient and high-output three-motor hybrid system, the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® (Super Handling All Wheel Drive), which realizes both a high level of sporty handling and fuel economy, will be applied to the NSX and Acura RLX, as well as the successor model of the Legend which is scheduled to be introduced in Japan.

Porsche 918 Spyder Prototype In Attractive Martini Racing Design

Based on the source from Porsche in Stuttgart, driving trials of the Porsche 918 Spyder are entering the next phase now. A permanent fixture of the test programme for the 918 Spyder is the 20.8 km long Nordschleife of the Nürburgring race course with its many bends and selective passages. After all, a lap time of less than seven minutes and 22 seconds is one of the development goals of the innovative super sports car with a plug-in hybrid drive.

The 918 Spyder, which is hardly an everyday vehicle, yet is well-equipped for everyday tasks, combines a high-performance internal combustion engine with electric drives at the rear and front axles to achieve extraordinary driving performance and excellent efficiency. The system power of all three drives together is 770 hp. The car’s NEDC fuel consumption is forecast to be only around three litres per 100 km, which is equivalent to CO2 emissions of about 70 g/km. The monocoque, consisting of carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP), reduces the car’s weight and delivers remarkable rigidity and precision. Other highlights are the car’s fully variable aerodynamics, adaptive rear axle steering and “top pipes” exhaust system which routes the pipes upwards. All of this makes the Porsche 918 Spyder a super sports car for the future, even though the styling of the prototypes is reminiscent of historical models.

The latest test vehicle is now turning laps in the legendary Martini Racing look of many historic Porsche race cars, particularly from the 1970s. More than nearly any other race car design, the Martini Racing look quickly attained cult status in those times and is still in vogue today. Martini was already the official partner of the Porsche factory team between 1973 and 1978. Back then, the attractively designed “Martini Porsche” race cars with their numerous victories were a centre of conversation. These victories included finishing first overall at Targa-Florio in 1973, winning the Sports Car World Championship in 1976 and overall victories at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1976 and 1977. As early as 1971, a Porsche 917 finished first in the legendary endurance race in Le Mans with the support of Martini. Whether a Porsche 908, 917, 935 or 936 or one of various 911 RS or RSR models, common to all of these race cars was the memorable Martini Racing design implemented in a wide variety of forms.

Now, a new edition of this successful partnership is making the Martini Racing design exclusively available to the innovative 918 Spyder. Porsche AG and the Martini brand, represented by Bacardi & Company Limited of Switzerland, have once again signed a partnership agreement to make this possible.

2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid with 150hp and 7-speed DSG

The new 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid recently premiered at 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid

It’s the first hybrid model with a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 27hp electric motor and 7-speed DSG transmission. The new Jetta hybrid can be switched into pure electric mode at the simple push of just one button. The Jetta Hybrid produces 110kW (150hp) and 184 lb-ft (249Nm) of torque between 1400 rpm and 3500 rpm. The Jetta Hybrid will become available in North America in 2012.

According to Volkswagen, the new Jetta hybrid will be “competitively priced with other compact hybrids”. The Jetta Hybrid may be the first hybrid to use a 7-speed dual-clutch (DSG) transmission, but the way the clutch decouples the engine from the drivetrain when the car is using just the battery for power or coasting is similar to how the Porsche hybrids do it.
