Toyota Prius 3rd Gen. review by Fifth Gear

Posted by : edvin | Posted on : 7/29/2009 at 12:10 AM

Before the lauching of Toyota Prius on our roads, and while other automakers have yet to even develop a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle, Toyota is already on its third generation of the Prius. This four-door hybrid has become a hit with consumers because of its stunning fuel economy, uncompromised driving pleasure and acceleration performance.

With the redesigned third-generation, Toyota has fixed almost every complaint that was ever lobbed at the Prius. The good news is, UMW Toyota will be targeting to launch this Prius in this October and several shots are taken by our crew near UMW Toyota HQ.

Toyota’s engineers redeveloped more than 90 percent of the Hybrid Synergy Drive components. A brand new 1.8-litre engine replaces the previous 1.5-litre engine for more low-end torque. The all-new transaxle is lighter and reduces torque losses by 20 percent. Both the NiMH battery and Power Control Unit are more compact and powerful, and finally, a set of three switches on the console lets the driver choose among EV (electric only at 25 mph for up to a mile), ECO and POWER modes to custom tailor the drivetrain’s response to changing driving conditions.

Without explaining further, check out the third-generation Prius review by Fifth Gear UK.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV Review by Fifth Gear & Top Gear

Posted by : ben | Posted on : 7/15/2009 at 1:40 AM

Lamborghini LP670-4 SV Fifth Gear & Top Gear

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV (Super Veloce). I'm not an expert on Lamborghini but the last SV i recall was - The Lamborghini Diablo SV. That was many years back when i was playing Need for Speed. All i can say about now is this beast has 670 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque by optimizing the engine's valve timing and tweaking the air intake system from the  Lambo's 6.5L V12 engine.0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and it is the last member Lamborghini Murcielago.Because the new model is coming next year.

We don't have a chance to drive this beast but we've uploaded the review by 2 top British television automotive reviews ( Top Gear & Fifth Gear). Top Gear reviews the LP 670-4 SV on screen about 2 weeks ago while Fifth Gear just show their review yesterday. All you want to know and dream about the beast it's in the youtube videos in the post. Watch it ! Damn, they're lucky.

Fifth Gear Review Mazda 3

For those who you do not know what's Fifth Gear is - Fifth Gear is a motoring television magazine from the United Kingdom. Just like Top Gear. However instead of more exciting act and funny way of presenting their automotive materials. Fifth Gear is actually a more infomative motoring television guide show. Last week, Fifth Gear review the latest Mazda 3. They gave the little 1.6 litre Mazda 3 a "8/10" score. For those who are considering to buy Mazda 3. The following youtube video might actually help you.
